one summer ago. we saw wolves. and I fell in love with you.

we had dreams made of road trips, the kind of them where you sleep in the car. we had dreams of lazy nights, the kind of them spent by the seaside with good wine and grilled fish eaten with fingers.

yes, that was the day I fell in love with you.

at the moment, every day feels like a party to me. refreshing, thrilling, and yet terribly exhausting. but I’m happy.

and in my world, being happy is the one way to go.

it’s been a while since the last hello monday. and to be honest the couple past mondays have been less than great, as in break-up less than great.

but today already feels perfect. I took our bunny peanut into the garden. he just loves being in the grass and eating too many flowers.

later, I will go for lunch on the beach with a new friend, get some new pied-de-poule pants for work, and help my sister on her poetry report.

no matter how eager I am to go back to London, I must admit I’m quite enjoying the quiet moments I spend here.

my flight was supposed to leave early this morning, and now I won’t be able to catch a train for England before this wednesday.

in the meantime, I’m clearly hanging out with the coolest kid ever: peanut. we’re both lying in the grass and monkeying around.

wounds seem to heal nicely this way. and it feels good to painlessly breath again without the tears.

how lazily are you spending your Sunday?

ps. I have three rolls of film waiting to be developed. it’s going to be fun.

here is our new friend who followed us through hyde park. he was so adorable. and really liked pecan nuts; which are also a favourite of mine.

so are: having friends visiting, going to a nice restaurant, being in love with foodbeam, making cheesecake, and getting wet with spring rain showers.

many things make me happy right now. things like spotting blooming flowers or meeting a new friend.

it’s been such a sunny week in London. and all the birds of the serpentine river seemed excited, even when the sun set.

today, I’m inspired by this blog redesign. and this amazing list of kitchen utensils.

today, I need to go to work soon. write my book for an hour or two. take pictures of the desserts we make at the capital.

after too many hours to admit it spent on the computer this morning*, I decided to make the best of this not-so-rainy off day and go for a walk (with the secret aim to find a large soft-cover squared notebook = FAIL).

but I met someone on the way. the plumpest little person, eating a peanut. he (I assume he’s a boy from all this muscle – hmmm, love handles) made my day.

now, as usual, I’m curious to know what made your monday the best day of the week?

ps. only tens days until Christmas (this also gets me super*excited).

although most of the day got spent on stuff-packing (yes, we are finally moving to London – like TOMORROW) – which I don’t particularly enjoy (and that’s and understatement) – we had the best surprises.

a new member of the family. please welcome Mister Peanut, possibly the sweetest bunny ever.

a gorgeous poster sent all the way from Sweden. oh yes, that one, made by Elisabeth for Studio Violet.

a pretty pile of lost polaroid pictures that will go straight onto our Kensington-flat naked walls.

a white guirlande, for the tree we’re planning on buying tomorrow night. any tips for buying Christmas trees in London? please.

an amazing one-colour-a-month Moleskine daily diary. I just can’t wait for 2010 to begin! let’s not rush though.

hope you had lovely surprises too on this Friday that marks a new beginning for me. I might not be able to post for a while, but I’ll make sure to think about you every day.
