today was probably the best day ever. I got my morning off to pay my doctor a little visit (nothing serious though); and this gave me plenty of time to relax.

this, plus the couple of things I received from the postman totally made my day a perfect one.

first, one of the people I care the most about reminded me that all that really matters is to be true to yourself. which clearly means I can wear those adorable acorn earrings my best friend made for me (isn’t she the sweetest?).

then, I got this fil invisible, so I’m finally going to be able to try my hands at this. so exciting.

I also picked fifty beautiful welcome perroquet cards from the cirque savant series. the illustrations are printed onto thick recycled (and acid-free) paper, which makes for gorgeous little cards that can be used as notecards, postcards or even possibly as wall art (can’t wait to frame the ten illustrations from this series).

and the extra little surprise: two rolls of polaroid 600 film. I have no idea of who sent them, but I’m eternaly grateful to whoever she/he is.

as a side note, I really want to thank lucie and chris for being so awesome. love you guys.

I love how making these cards turns me into a relaxed person. finding a subject. sketching the illustration. picking the right colours.

and hopefully printing these out.
they truly make perfect notecards or can even be framed. I already picture one of my walls covered with them.

as you might have noticed, I’ve been high on creating stuff lately. and it’s damn so nice. I feel like a child going through its very first christmas.
