this is so inspiring; and pretty, too.

I made one lovely cake topped with apricots my grand-mother canned in light syrup last year. it was delicious and I didn’t even photographed the finished cake.
you’ll have to take my words for granted.

as you might guess, the recipe comes from Bill Granger, who happens to be a surprisingly good source for baking.

materials
:: 180g butter, softened
:: 170g caster sugar
:: 3 eggs
:: seeds from one vanilla pod
:: 185g flour
:: 1 tsp baking powder
:: a pinch of salt
:: 60ml milk
:: 14 apricots, pitted and halved

I am so very excited - with tons of projects in mind. I’m quite close to finally updating the Etsy shop I had planned to launch a couple of months ago.

the packaging is nearly ready. and I’m creating notecards, paintings and photographs to be listed. I hope you guys are as excited as I am.
this is one of the cards from the jesus is my homeboy notecard set, inspired by L. who once told me I was a good excuse for the creation of a god. that girl, she sort of got overwhelmed by the facts, and thought it would be easier to cope with things if she blamed me for everything.
now I’m damn glad she did, because I’ve had those words in mind ever since. and love them. hope you will too.
