I came across Maria Forde’s beautiful website today, and totally fell in love with her illustrations.

cleaned up my desk today and found those pretty things, which happen to make me super*happy.

I’m so totally in love with Anders’ work. I mean, just look at that first illustration - isn’t it pretty?

to make this little card, I only used supplies I had at home. some piece of heavy weight paper, a couple of watercolour pencils and my favourite ink pen for the drawing.

when it comes to the embossing, I simply cut out three oval shapes into light cardboard and placed them underneath the not-yet illustrated card. and using an eraser, I revealed the shapes. I then flipped the paper over - embossed perfection.

Rebecca Thuss, who I happened to discover quite a long time ago - many months in fact, is my hero.

When I checked Garance’s blog - a favourite -, I fell in love with that jacket. Sooo gorgeous. Tsumori Chisato is a genius. I mean, he really is.
Needless to say, I find Garance’s pictures and illustrations totally charming.
