Coincidently, I also went to Yumchaa when I was in London two years ago and it is really cozy and peaceful :)

And I know this is not very original, but I always had a snack at a Pret-a-Manger. Loved the atmosphere and the food!

there are so many places i love in London.
but my favorite place is Yumchaa, an awesome salon de thé, in the heart of camden town. there, you'll be able to eat a brownie/muffin/carrott cake or a sandwich (with one of the best breads i've ever tasted) and you'll choose a tea among 20 sorts of flavors :)

what i like about that salon de thé is that it doesn't fit in the crowded atmosphere of Camden Town, it's all warm and cosy, with vintage comfy chairs !
hope you'll like it ! everytime i go to London, i always have a cup of tea at Yumchaa :)

This is our favourite pub http://fieldreport.net/blog/archive/2007/03/05/the-neeld-arms-pub.html it's very authentic with great wallpaper. It's close to the canal ( forgot it's name ) we once walked almost all the way from there to islington following the canal. That was really very nice. I would choose a sunny they though. I wish I could be in London haven't been there for 3 years :-(
