getting back to work was kind of exhausting, especially after the week Aïda and I spent exploring London.

right now, I dream about a walk through hyde park, a box of pierre hermé’s macarons, and an afternoon spent working on my book.

right now, I have the most gem of a boyfriend, some macarons to make at work, and a couple of posts to write for foodbeam.

what are your dreams?

ps. thank you so much for all your suggestions to my last post. I heart you!

I’ve been wanting this forever. a blog that will – luckily – soon look like a collection of my favourite places around town.

even though I’m really excited about this new project, I can’t help but wonder if I don’t have a couple too many blogs. sometimes, I have the feeling it would just make more sense to stuff everything into foodbeam.

please, tell me what you think about this issue…

the one perfect bag. at least for right now. a proenza shoulder ps1.

just the right size to carry a laptop, and a couple of cameras. I think I really want it.

could you recommend some other inspiring bags? I also really like the latest hardgraft.

two things that made my day (aside from hanging around with Aïda). both offered by the gigantic Selfridges.

one. a box of Pierre Hermé’s macarons. all twelve flavours.
two. four papermate felt-tip pens. I always feel the need to stock on these.

and if I’m completely honest, I must admit I couldn’t live without both. pâtisserie and scribbling*. not to mention photographing.
* which shall be added to my basics.

do you have such things that acts as reminders of your musts?

how was your monday? mine was packed.

with Aïda and our endless laughs.
with noodles.
with the littlest snowflakes.
with delicious pastries from Sketch.

hello monday is a new – hopefully – weekly feature to make us happy and grateful for the week to come.

here is the one cloud, pictured with the pentax.

this got me thinking about why I love film so much. perhaps it’s excitation preceding the surprise I have every time I pick up a developed roll.

today, I’m also pretty excited to pick up Aïda – my sister – from the airport. fun week ahead!

a timeless moment at the Clarendon.

to-do: write a cookbook.

I think I have just found the perfect place to get the writing done. a café/restaurant/bar right down my street.
I cosily seat on one of the padded benches, get my moleskine and papermate pen from my bag, order a latte, then let the magic happen.

I love it there.

don’t you find it easier to work outside from home?

food, journallooking back {2}

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

today, I feel like exploring the past; which is quite unusual for me who much rather live in the present and dream about the future.

recent past: out visit to Ikea on the day after we arrived to London.
a pretty bad fish and chips. a sweet daim cake. a delicate gas station just outside the store. a delicious cinnamon roll to eat in the bus.

past past: this blog has gone through so many changes. design, content, name… this got me thinking about the day on which I thought I had lost the database forever. it felt both terrifying and refreshing.
sometimes, I really want to erase everything and start from an empty page.
other times, I just feel like I should give this blog a new look/name (yes, I know, again?).

do you like looking back, or are you more of a future-driven person?

I love the first picture of each and every roll I shoot. Just the right amount of imperfection to make it genuinely perfect.

coffee with Guillaume just a couple of days before we left for London.
